Take a load off your feet.

The sitting room

Come in take a seat, take a load off your feet. Welcome to my new house. Well you really can’t call it new anymore, it’s more than three months since we moved in here but this is only the second photo since moving in. The sofa was supplied by our interior decorators Koala (Pvt) Ltd. They matched the colors nicely but the kids crawled all over it and the areas that were once white are now a shade of brown – hence the reason for a night shot.

High Profile Work.

Telco staff on a tower

Being a technician in a teleco can’t be fun if you have vertigo. They must be at least 150 feet from the ground, I was standing 31 feet about ground and I had to angle the camera upwards over the coconut trees for the shot. I think there is an eagle roosting at the top of that tower but haven’t been able to catch him (or her) yet.

Vertical Garden.

Green Wall

The first thing that strikes most people visiting our house is the vertical garden. A long time will pass before the orchids are able to spread out to cover that wall completely. By that time the wines would have fully obstructed the view and passers by will not be able to see the flowers when they bloom. Vertical gardens are sometimes known as a green wall. There is no wall where the wines grow so let’s just call it a horizontally challenged garden.

New House

It’s more than ten weeks since we moved into this house. That’s the reason that this blog has been somewhat neglected of late – it took a little bit of time to settle in, to catch up with a backlog of work and then to submit my MBA asignments. Th backlog is something that can never be cleared and I have twelve more months to work on my MBA which means about 25 more asignments. But this is definitely the the time to revive this blog and to post some photos of the new house. If I wait any longer the walls will be covered by little palm prints and childrens’ scrawling.
